A culmination of many brave visions – Cabernet Sauvignon planted in 1999 on a rocky coastal mountainside in the cool and windy Petaluma Gap. Lichau Hill Vineyard is a terroir like none other, planted just above the fog line at 1200 feet and in view of the Pacific Ocean on a clear day. The vines are surrounded by a low stone wall, built from extrusive volcanic rocks unearthed during planting, testament to just how rocky and devigorating these soils are.
